This policy describes how DENIS VTC processes your data within the “DENIS — Driver” app, in compliance with the GDPR.

2. Data we collect
- Identification: first/last name, email, phone number, profile photo;
- Professional documents: VTC card, driving licence, supporting documents, and vehicle information;
- Transactions: ride history and earnings; payments via Stripe (card numbers not stored);
- Technical data: device identifiers, notification token (FCM), model, diagnostics.
Background location
The app collects your real-time location, INCLUDING IN THE BACKGROUND, while you are online or on a ride. This is essential to the core service: ride assignment, navigation and safety of both passenger and driver. Background collection stops as soon as you go offline.
Microphone
Microphone access is used only for in-app calls with the passenger.

4. Recipients and processors
- Google Firebase (authentication, real-time database, notifications, analytics);
- Google Maps (mapping and routing);
- Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (payouts and payments);
- Real-time messaging provider (MQTT) for ride tracking.
During a ride, your first name, photo, rating and location are shared with the passenger strictly as needed for the trip.
5. Transfers outside the EU
Some processors (Google, Stripe) may process data outside the EU, governed by Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. Retention
- Account and documents: during activity, then deleted/anonymized after closure, subject to legal obligations;
- Invoices, earnings and history: up to 10 years (accounting and tax obligations);
- Location: only as long as needed to track rides.
7. Your rights
- Access, rectification, erasure; restriction and objection; portability;
- Withdraw consent at any time;
- Complaint to the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
8. Security & minors
Appropriate technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, access control). Service restricted to adults (18+).
